Zaragoza en Común’s candidate to Zaragoza City Council held today a meeting with the DFA Foundation and has visited its centers.

Zaragoza, Wednesday April 1st 2015.- The candidate of Zaragoza en Común to the City Council Pedro Santisteve, has attended this morning to the Electoral Meetings for the Disability of DFA Foundation. He has held meetings with the board of directors of this social institution who transmited him their suggestions and concerns on disability to be included in May Election’s programme.

Santisteve rated the meeting “very interesting ” and pointed that “gathered the disabled people’s needs to be studied and see which can be implemented”. He mentioned the vulnerability situation of this collective to stress the relevance of “implementing social equilibrium measures”. In this regard, he referred to the employment measures, “to also take social inequality into account in this matter”.

Accesibility and mobility have also been prominently remarked by the Zaragoza en Común’s candidate, “any cityzen should be able to reach any point of the city with public transportation, should be able to avoid the barriers and obstacles”.

The aim of the Electoral Meetings of the DFA Foundation is to introduce the needs and specifications of this colective so the political parties bear in mind the people with special needs in their electoral programmes andthey take decissions, if they are chosen, taking into account all the people and their different abilities.

Among the petitions of the DFA Foundation to the candidates are accesibility matters and normatives observing as the control on the usage of the parking cards to avoid missuse and frauds.

The responsibles of this social entity transmitted to Pedro Santisteve their concerns about the challenges the collective of the disability is facing to find a job and the need to implement measures to facilitate the access to the labour market.
